The Geneva-headquartered NGO Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre (IDMC) announced on 13 May that it had registered 7.3m internally displaced people in Colombia in 2024. This was up by a dramatic 43% year-on-year and was the highest figure since the IDMC’s records began in 2009.
