HONDURAS | Remittances slow in monthly terms. On 21 May Honduras’ central bank (BCH) released new figures showing that remittances sent to Honduras in April totalled US$983.31m. This was down from US$997.32m in March. In the first four months of 2025 remittances to Honduras totalled US$3.61bn, up from US$2.98bn over the same period in 2024. Remittances to Honduras totalled US$9.74bn in 2024, up from US$9.18bn the previous year. The latest (2023) World Bank figures estimate that remittances account for 26.1% of Honduras’ GDP.
