Ortega, take two

Daniel Ortega, leader of the Frente Sandinista de Liberación Nacional (FSLN), returned to power to a great fanfare of anti-imperialist rhetoric on 10 January, some 17 years after he lost the presidency in 1990. Since winning the election of 5 November with 38% of the vote, Ortega has spoken of the moderate policies that his government will follow to reduce poverty in Nicaragua. Now in power, the president has continued to balance his revolutionary credentials with a practical approach to government.
