HONDURAS: Cabinet shake-up causes disquiet

There is considerable unrest in the cabinet of President Manuel Zelaya over an internal evaluation of the performance of individual ministers in 2006, which resulted in two dismissals in early January: the former presidential candidate and former head of congress, Rafael Pineda Ponce was replaced at the education ministry by Marlon Brevé Reyes while César Salgado came in for Marlon Lara at the Fondo Hondureño de Inversión Social (Fhis), the state social investment fund.
