CUBA: Botched operations leave Fidel dangerously ill

It is a state secret no more; the most detailed, and convincing, description to date of Fidel Castro's mystery illness was printed in gory detail in the Spanish newspaper El Paí­s on 15 January. Although it contradicts US intelligence reports printed in Time magazine in October which claimed that Castro has terminal cancer, the condition described in the newspaper is still extremely serious, potentially fatal.
