GUYANA: Opposition calls for protest over gambling and tax

Just months after a surprisingly peaceful general election, the government of Guyana is bracing itself for large scale demonstrations organised by the opposition to protest against a new sales tax and legislation that would allow limited gambling in time for the Cricket World Cup, starting in March.
