TRINIDAD & TOBAGO: Petrotin looks for clients elsewhere

Trinidad & Tobago's state-owned oil company, Petrotin is looking for markets outside of the Caribbean as Petrocaribe, Venezuela's preferential financing for oil deals, starts to chip away at its client base. Prime Minister Patrick Manning and Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez are due to meet in Caracas on 20 March to discuss energy matters. In mid February, Trinidad & Tobago and Venezuela successfully concluded negotiating the distribution of offshore gas reserves in the Lohan field under the sea between the two countries.
