Strong job creation in October. On 3 November Mexico’s national social security institute (IMSS) reported that 198,454 jobs were created in October, the third-highest monthly figure on record. This was up from a total of 116,765 jobs created in September. According to IMSS head Zoé Robledo Arturo, 400,671 jobs were created in Mexico from January to October 2025, up 1.8% year-on-year. As of 31 October 2025, the IMSS had 22.64m jobs registered. Additionally, the IMSS announced that the average base salary for jobs in Mexico stood at M$623.50 (US$33.74) per day, an increase of 7.4% over the past year.
