Ecuador's congress ponders not if but how Lucio Gutiérrez should be removed

What opposition politicians are discussing this week in Quito is not if President Lucio Gutiérrez will go, but which of several possible methods will be used to ease him out. Apparently the only one that is ruled out for now, on the strength of straight arithmetic, is impeachment: the anti-Gutiérrez camp falls just short of the two-thirds needed for an impeachment motion to prosper.
