VENEZUELA: Impatience peaks as 'repair' count proceeds

The `repair' process whereby people could ratify questioned signatures on their petition forms for recall referendums ended on 30 May. More than a day later, with both sides claiming victory, the electoral authorities and international observers were embroiled in a public tiff over the speed at which results were being computed. The deadline for publication of final results is 5 June, so it would be surprising if anything clear emerged before that.
