Argentina and
Brazil, to set up more data centres for artificial intelligence (AI). OpenAI has announced plans to build a large data centre in Argentina’s Patagonia region, which has been dubbed the ‘Stargate’ project. However, compared to its neighbours, Argentina has some catching up to do when it comes to AI readiness, given that other South American countries, such as Brazil, are regarded as having greater potential to build infrastructure for AI.
