HAITI: New electoral calendar submitted
Haiti’s provisional electoral council (CEP) has unveiled a new electoral calendar which envisages a first round of presidential and legislative elections in August 2026. Elections have not taken place since 2016 and the country has lacked democratically elected legislative officials since January 2023, when the terms of its last remaining 10 senators expired.
