In brief: Uruguay’s inflation slows in November

*Uruguay’s national statistics institute (INE) has released the latest figures for its consumer price index (IPC), putting monthly inflation at 0.14% in November, while the annual rate stood at 4.09%. The latest figures mark a deceleration from the 0.40% monthly inflation and 4.32% annual inflation registered for October. Of the 13 categories of products and services measured by the INE, 11 saw a monthly rise in prices. The greatest monthly inflation rates were registered in healthcare (+0.82%) and transport (+0.65%). The two categories that posted monthly deflation were food and non-alcoholic drinks (-0.23%) and alcoholic drinks and tobacco (-0.34%).
