In brief: Peru’s economic output rises in 2025

*Peru’s national statistics institute (Inei) has announced that economic output in December 2025 was up by 3.83% compared to the same month in 2024. This brought the total growth during 2025 to 3.44%. December saw year-on-year growth for sectors including manufacturing (+4.58%), construction (+12.01%), trade (+4.89%), and agriculture (+2.48%). The three sectors which saw year-on-year contractions were mining and hydrocarbons (-2.18%), finance and insurance (-0.20%), and telecommunications and other information services (-0.98%).
