EL SALVADOR | Risk of power crisis. The state power utility CEL has warned that if a single turbine in the country's hydroelectric plants were to fail, the system would be unable to cope with demand. Even if the delayed construction of the Ateos thermal power plant were to be started immediately, there would be an 8-month crisis window until its completion.
