BRAZIL | Trade surplus rises in yearly terms. The ministry of industry, development, trade, and services released its latest monthly trade figures on 7 May, which showed a trade surplus of US$10.54bn. This marks a 37.5% increase compared with April last year. Brazil’s exports in April totalled US$34.15bn, up 14.3% year-on-year, while the monthly import value came to US$23.61bn, up 6.2%.
