CUBA: US escalates pressure on Havana, indicts Raúl Castro
On 20 May the US Department of Justice announced charges against Cuba’s former president Raúl Castro (2008-2018) and five others over the deadly 1996 shootdown of planes operated by humanitarian group Brothers to the Rescue (BTTR) which killed three US citizens and one US national.
