CUBA: Cubans holding out on US 'spy'
It's a year since Cuban authorities arrested (on 5 December 2009) the
US citizen Alan Gross, a sub-contractor for the US State Department detained in
Havana, apparently for handing out communications devices to local citizens
(alleged dissidents). Gross remains in jail but has never been charged. The case
is a reminder of the still fraught political relationship between Cuba and the
US.
