ARGENTINA: De la Rúa denied pension
Former president Fernando de la Rúa failed to persuade the government to award him a presidential pension in May. The man who abandoned his office in the face of the 2001 economic crisis two years before the end of his mandate is undeterred however. He said he will consider suing the state if it does not start paying him the pension.
