Damning verdict on Toledo but he will survive

President Alejandro Toledo was accused of electoral fraud on 3 May by the legislative committee investigating an alleged signature-forging ring set up to register the now-ruling Perú Posible (PP) for the 2000 elections. The most interesting aspect of the accusation was the huge disparity between the response of some of the international media, which seemed to see it as a big deal, and that of Peru's media, which dismissed it as insignificant.
