Posada Carriles saga worsens relations with US

Following several weeks of feigning ignorance as to his whereabouts, the US finally discovered the suspected terrorist Luis Posada Carriles in mid May after he gave an interview to the Miami Herald. The US then chose to ignore a Venezuelan request for his extradition and charged him with illegal entry to the US. The case has further soured relations between Caracas and Washington and has led to accusations that the US government has a hypocritical approach to terrorism.
