HAITI: Blue Helmets tested as ex-soldiers flex muscles

The Minustah peacekeepers faced their first real challenge last week when former soldiers seized the city of Petit-Goave and announced further such actions in demand for past pay and pensions as well as the restoration of the Haitian army. The uprising by the former military came just before the launch of the disarmament drive announced by the government.
