CHILE | Growth outlook. GDP growth in the third quarter would surpass 6.0% and the government's projection for the year as a whole (5.1%) may have to be adjusted upwards a few notches, predicted finance minister Nicolás Eyzaguirre. He was basing his optimism on a set of figures for September which showed high year-on-year increases: 12.0% for industrial output, 11.8% for mining, 8.3% for power generation and 7.6% for supermarket sales.
