The leftist Partido de la Revolución Democrática (PRD) has hit upon a new way of getting its message across. Instead of just issuing another communiqué outlining its criticism of the Fox government, which the media might ignore or downplay, it has put it all down in a letter to UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan, which automatically elevates it to the status of a 'document' deserving greater attention - both at home and abroad.
