BOLIVIA: Morales in drive to expand his regional base

Evo Morales was the first off the mark when congress set the date for the gubernatorial elections. On 14 April he announced that his party, the Movimiento al Socialismo (MAS), will be fielding candidates in all of Bolivia's departments, building on its victories in last year's municipal elections [WR-04-48].
