DOMINICAN REPUBLIC: Mejí­a interrogation in Paulino case is 'postponed'

For a short while it looked as if a brave public prosecutor was about to take the bull by the horns, summoning former president Hipólito Mejí­a to testify about his alleged links with drug trafficker Quirino Paulino [WR-05-06], recently extradited to the US. Only a few hours later, though, he withdrew the summons, amid rumours of untoward political pressures.
