MEXICO-US: Row revives over US agents at airports

A year after the official human rights commission, CNDH, strongly criticised the government for allowing US agents to conduct 'abusive' checks in Mexican airports during a terrorism alert [WR-04-14], the government finds itself fending off criticism for allowing US security agents to return to the country's air terminals. Angry Mexican airport police say that the move was decided at the 22 March summit between presidents Vicente Fox and George Bush Jr, and Canada's Prime Minister Paul Martin.
