Bolaños (and others) see their paypackets slashed

It is not yet certain how many powers President Enrique Bolaños has been left with, but one thing is clear: he will have to take a 40% pay cut, under a new law passed on 12 April by Nicaragua's national assembly. He has not, however, been singled out by the opposition for this treatment: the law cuts the paypackets of high-ranking public officials across the board.
