Former Dina chief 'reveals' details on fate of 'disappeared'

Retired General Manuel Contreras, head of dictator Augusto Pinochet's notorious intelligence directorate, Dina, has delivered to the supreme court and prosecution service what purports to be a list of 580 people who were 'disappeared' during the period of military rule, with details of when and by whom they were detained, and what became of them. Apart from questioning his motives, two NGOs have said the information is full of 'lies and inaccuracies'.
