MEXICO: Now it's PAN & PRD versus PRI in México state

Less than a month ago, the ruling Partido Acción Nacional (PAN) was ganging up with the Partido Revolucionario Institucional (PRI) in a bid to knock the most likely candidate of the Partido de la Revolución Democrática (PRD) out of next year's presidential race. Since then, however, the PAN has changed tack, actually ganging up with the PRD (and others) to try to knock the PRI candidate out of another, more immediate race: the gubernatorial contest in the state of México, due to take place on 3 July.
