MEXICO | Growth decelerates. GDP growth in the first quarter of the year reached only 2.4%, more than a point shy of the forecasts made by the government and private analysts. This reflected contractions in both agriculture (-1.5%) and industry (-0.2%), with expansion recorded only in the services (+4.1%).
