NICARAGUA: IMF approves spending increase

The IMF has approved of Nicaragua's plan to increase public investment by US$99m, to US$427m, in 2004. This year, the public investment can be increased from US$333m to US$369m. Government officials said that the IMF was impressed by the government's management of the economy.
