URUGUAY: Decent export performance

The IMF offered the country a loan of US$141m. It commented that the country’s recovery from the disaster of 2002, when the economy shrank by 11%, is still fragile. The Fund waived various unmet conditions that had been set for its loan of US$3.2bn agreed in 2002.
