BOLIVIA: New president brings lull - but for how long?

Bolivia has a new president and is enjoying a truce after three weeks of protest actions that brought much of the country to a standstill. The crisis, however, is not over. It is not at all clear how long the truce will last, or how much leeway the new administration will be granted by the array of organisations that unseated President Carlos Mesa. Also, beyond making new general elections a priority, virtually everything else on the electoral agenda remains unknown.
