NICARAGUA: Conflict moves to the courts - for now

For the time being, the conflict of powers in Nicaragua is being played out in the courts. It may soon, however, take a different path, as the pro-Bolaños camp prepares to take to the streets and the government prepares to introduce a 'national security' rationale for its actions. In the background, the US is applying pressure to the Liberal party in a bid to split the opposition entente.
