URUGUAY: Bouncing back

The economy seems to be settling into something of rhythm after a couple of months of switchbacking statistics. In May industrial output was up by 7.7%, year-on-year. Although this was lower than April's growth of 16%, it followed a 1% fall in industrial output in March. The March statistic had prompted fears that the economy was sliding back but these were soothed by April's results.
