ARGENTINA: Growing but inflation kicks up

The economy is continuing to recover, and create more jobs, but inflation is rearing up. In July the lagging 12-month rate hit 9.6%, the highest for two years. The government's policy of trying to keep the peso competitive against the US dollar is probably to blame: the government is buying dollars and thus inflating the domestic money supply.
