PERU: Exports boom

The government is talking about export revenues hitting US$16bn this year. In the first nine months, they came to US$9bn. The strength of exports is keeping the economy growing: in the first half the growth rate was 5.89%. In the first half of 2004, the growth rate was two percentage points slower.
