ARGENTINA: Inflation the worry

The government is almost certain to try to use fiscal policy, following the 23 October congressional elections, to try to bring inflation to heel. Influential economists are suggesting that slapping higher taxes on luxury items and dividends while lowering Value Added Taxes (VAT) on staple food and household items would have a beneficial effect.
