PARAGUAY: Re-dollarising

Figures from the central bank show that banks are switching their lending back from dollars to guaranies. Interest rates in guaranies have been falling. This is largely because of the increase in guarani deposits. This appears to be the result of growing private sector confidence that the guarani will not depreciate further against the dollar.
