CUBA: Rosales admits to dismal sugar crop
The sugar minister, General Ulises Rosales del Toro, admitted that the sugar crop in 2005/06 was just 1.2m t. He said that he expected the next crop to be considerably higher than the initial forecasts, made at the end of June, that the next crop would be at least 25% higher than the 2005/06 crop.
