BOLIVIA: Foreigners cut investment

The central bank reported that in the first half of this year foreign companies withdrew US$103m of their investments made in the country. The central bank said that they did this because they were unhappy about the legal status of their investments. Although the central bank does not say this directly, the companies feared that their assets in Bolivia could be expropriated.
