DEBT: Argentina eyeing Asia
The government floated the idea, at the end of September, of selling debt in Asia. This is a development of the current programme under which the government sells debt to Venezuela. Since Argentina defaulted on its foreign debt in 2001, Venezuela has been the only international buyer of its paper.
