On 23 March President Evo Morales removed Manuel Morales Olivera from his position as head of the state-owned oil company Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales Bolivianos (YPFB) after only two months in the job, and appointed Guillermo Aruquipa as his successor. YPFB has now had four presidents in the past 14 months.
