CHILE: A bit slower

Against the general local consensus we do not expect the central bank to raise its benchmark interest rate for a seventh straight month on 16 December. We believe that the surprising slowdown in the economy in October and the continuing undershoot in inflation will prompt policymakers to pause, and keep rates at 3%.
