The Central Obrera Boliviana (COB) is trying to exploit President Evo Morales's deteriorating popularity and has called a national strike for 21 and 22 March. It wants a bigger national pay increase than the 10% proposed by President Morales for 2011. According to a string of recent opinion polls, President Morales's national popularity has dropped from 70% a year ago to 32% now.
