ARGENTINA: Government raises salaries again

The Argentine government announced yesterday that private sector wages are to be raised by Arg$50 (US$18) per month. The minimum wage will increase to Arg$350 as a result. The minimum pension will also rise from Arg$220 to Arg$240. The measures will come into effect on 1 January 2004.
