GUATEMALA: Local gangs stop fighting, join forces to expand

Guatemala's various drug-trafficking gangs have called an end to their turf wars and are joining forces with a view to controlling the trade across the whole of Central America, says Saia, Guatemala's antidrugs agency. The catalyst, it says, was the flight from a Mexican prison of Otto Herrera last May.
