President Vicente Fox met at least two members of the faction of the Partido Revolucionario Institucional loyal to Elba Esther Gordillo yesterday afternoon. So far the government has made no effort to meet the man who succeeded her. Gordillo was deposed at leader of the party in the lower chamber of congress earlier this week, though she refuses to acknowledge that she has been booted from office.
