MEXICO-US: Razing of Las Chepas may produce a backlash

The demolition of half the buildings in a small Mexican border town known as Las Chepas was meant to be a shining example of how effective cooperation can be at gubernatorial level in solving border security problems. Local reactions, though, suggest that it may come back and bite the promoters of the initiative, particularly the governor of Chihuahua, José Reyes Baeza.
